Focal Aria 5 kits from way back in the day, good drivers and crossover, really nice sounding, but now replaced by Focal 936/CC900/SR900. Cabinets are in nice shape; black woodgrain not so exciting methinks. What would a fair price be between friends?

About 30% of the original parts cost, not counting labor, assuming tweeter foam surrounds not needing servicing.
A slightly flawed speaker by the look of it:

But fixable IMO:

92mm T90K tweeter seems to be the problem. As well as overly bright at the top.
I like this sort of thing as a project. But you'd need to buy new tweeters, IMO. And adjust the crossover.

These *might* have a different version of the tweeter-it was long ago, I don't remember. The crossovers might have been later and adjusted. They sounded quite good, in a space large and therefore not overly bright
I live in the UK, and you live in the City of the Angels. So these aren't knocking up in my second-hand store or local parcel service for 50 bucks.
But given an ancient (30-y-o) and flawed tweeter section, I could get these sounding like a million bucks for $150.
You should fit Morel CAT 378 tweeters on a second order and adjust the crossover to a 700Hz Fs. IMO. They'd sound brill.
