That sounds pretty damn cool.
Thats 6 relays per channel though isnt it?
I would need... 36. bloody hell.
A double pole relay would deal with 2 single ended channels, so you would "only" need 18.
I dont really need a volume control, just a decent reliable way to preset the gain on the 6 channels, and then leave it be, and let the computer control the volume.
My mains are biamped (but set for triamping later if I want), the surrounds are triamped, and I've left capability for rear surrounds the same and 4 channels of LF.Rainwulf said:

Incorrect the way I do it.Redshift187 said:

Use individual trimmers for each channel. Simplest way to do it. Or use some jumpers and resistors.Rainwulf said:I dont really need a volume control, just a decent reliable way to preset the gain on the 6 channels, and then leave it be, and let the computer control the volume.
This is what I am looking at using in my 7 channel amp I am just starting. I think it has been superseded, but I'm having trouble finding info on its successors.

I am also going to be using these relays for source selection:
TQ2-5V
I plan on having two encoders, one for source selection, one for volume, and a PIC running the show. Depending on how fancy I want to get I may add a VFD for display and a remote control as well. I need to do some more research on making it compatible with universal remotes.

Any chance to get that site in English that is not going through on-line translation?
