Which Resistor is the OPTIMAL Choice for Earthing/Grounding yourself ?

Hi
This article is good reading

If you live in hazardous environments as your post suggests, resistors on their own will do nothing. For instance measure your shoes for resistance very nice insulation, start to see the problem ? Your head, hands legs torso are then all exposed parts. Possibly a space suit might work ? 😀

Generally avoid hazardous electrical environments, be very aware of working on equipment with high voltage and current. A first aid course is well worth doing to understand some of these dangers,

Deep grounding down to 20 meters with stainless steel rods or copper rods ( copper usually has shorter life expectancy ) which is outside the realms of most people to go that deep, is a very cost effective way of ensuring good grounding of equipment and can be seen in many good AM or FM transmission facilities. Note the metal parts are grounded but not necessarily the personnel involved 😱

Christ, that's a GREAT Article ! Looks like a whole day study 😛

But not exactly sure if even that answers my much simpler Question,
The main reason why I want to get grounded myself is to reduce the ambient body Voltage from acting as a walking/sitting living antenna

And what I want to be sure about that if a 100k Ohm, 1/2 Watt resistor is the optimal resistor to use to protect myself from being zapped by electrical current through my grounding wire, in case the electrical socket ground touches the (+, Live wire) or there is an electrical surge due to a Lightning hit, etc.
