Yet another large coax build Celestion FTX1225 (ongoing, advice needed)

3 weeks later and the drivers are somewhat broken in and Ive properly attached the baffles both front and rear. I must say it sounds pretty amazing, bass is deep and tights, highs are crystal clear. The Eminence crossover works quite well, though a bit on the bright side. Next up is internal damping, variable l-pad, a nice terminal, and possibly some sanding of the edges, plus a cloth grill, but for now I'm quite happy with the build and it works great as desktop speakers in my home office. I can recommend the Celestion driver, it outperforms the EB12CX/ASD1001 combo easily. Some more pics attached for those who are interested.

Hi.

The dimensions are listed in the first post. As it is a mix of MDF and gluejoint-oak it didn’t make sense to me to make a plan drawing, the sides and top/bottom was cut from 2x19x400x2000mm planks while the baffles were cut from 2400x1200mm MDF, including also the two inside bracings at 360x300mm.

Hope it helps.

I plan to make another soon with same dimension and material look but a 3 way setup.
