This is Satori 6 inch scaled uniformly to 1.18 to fit 2 inch broadband driver.
Horizontal directivity of 2 inch driver raw and then quick cross with 8 inch but no shelf yet.
Might be worth pursing but not sure yet. will probably add the shelf or notch and listen again.

I think he is referring to suspension being the main xmax limitation in the original design, and doesn't appear to have improved that with the new version.
Hello, i did also some try and error Waveguides for an Harwood AM25 AMT.
Last day i Printed my 4th design and it looks satisfying for me 😉
My Quik and dirty Measure setup:
Measure Hardware from QuantAsylum QA472, QA462, QA403 with Byerdynamik MM1 Microphone:
AMT is open at the Back laying on an 40mm Foam for first Test Measures.
First Measurings, Microphone around 30cm away:
With 4,7 and 6,8uF Cap in Series:
Waterfall without Cap:
And the same but with an Enclousure on the AM25 Back:
Yellow with 4,7uF but without Waveguide!
My Speakerdesign goes in this direction:
With 2 Scanspeak 18W 8434g00 parallel
and 1 or 2 Ripoles designed by Axel Ridthaler, with a little License fee 😉 so dont Ask for drawings, kontakt Axel 😉
Still need to build the first Ripol Prototype.
And yes, this kind of design is an DIY copy of an B&M design.
But with 2 Ripoles the Design makes more sense for me 😉
Right now i Print the open back side for listening purpose:
For Crossover I will use CamillaDSP on an Raspberry 5 (FIR Filter designed with Rephase) and MOTU Ultralight MK5 Interface with Hypex AMP Modules.
This i use already on my 3Way Setup 😉
What you guys think, will this work???

Very promising! I'd like to see some off axis responses with the waveguide on a baffle. I experimented with enclosures on the Aurum Cantus AMT and different shapes had very different impacts. Yours looks like it is working pretty well, do you have a pic? BTW how deep is the waveguide?
Hello here some Drawings, but i also will do some more Prints to look what happen if i schorten it around 10mm and 20mm.
Side View:
Top View:
If i done the 3D Prints for the Back side i will do some off Axis Measurements.
I will Provide it here.
I did already around 5 degre and 15 degre with this quick and dirty stile, and it was realy smoth but i want it abit more serious 🙂
Dipol as well with backside closed 😉
I used this Picture for my Design 😉 (original from JBL)

This is the Drawing from Beyma TPL Horn its 85mm deep so i am not that far away from it 😉 but 150mm and not 230mm Vertikel hight
and a lot cheeper LOL also the AM25 goes up to 36-40kHz -6dB
AMT 25:
Look @this you realy could use the AM25 from 1,5 to 1,6kHz with an deep 72 dB FIR filter i gues. specialy for Home HIFI.
On the Disco side i guess 2 to 2,5 kHz for safety 🙂
AM25 @105dB

My aktualy Setup:
AM25
W18 4344-G00 (16L Reflex -3dB @ 55Hz)
Vifa 10" SUB (38L Reflex -3dB @ 33Hz)
Crossover (CamillaDSP FIR 72dB):
This is the same 2 Way Box but with 6dB Filter for AM25 and 12dB Filter for 18W on Camilla:
So this way its also possible to make an Passiv XOver, thats without Waveguide.
Stepresponse (the first peak is not from HT itself, its to Fast i gues it comes from DAC or other Filter on Electronic side, but not sure):

Here the next shortened Versions, i will 3D Print the smallest first and let see how the Frequency will change.
The Backside is neare ready, still 5 Hour to print for the last Piece 😉 .

Aurum Cantus AST2560 looks like the same but the Diagramms look a bit different!
AMT with Waveguide Backside Open 0 to 40 segree , Windowed 4ms with 1/6 Smothing:
Steps are 10 degree
Distance 1M
Ok need to change the shape of that Waveguide, need to get rid of that Bump @ 4,5 kHz
The Waveguide need only to work from 3,5 to 1,5 kHz.
Red Line 0 degree on Axis
Magenta 40 degree
Impulse without Enclosures:
Windowed 1,5ms with Phase 0 degree:
Stepresponse:

So one more Measuring with Back Closed (Enclousure, probably not jet totaly sealed will do next day)
On Axis 0 degree, Distance 80cm
Rephase FIR Filter Compensated and Crosover LR 70dB @ 1800Hz, Phase Compensated
Low Shelf, 7000Hz, Q 1, -8dB
PK 1, 2161Hz, Q 10, -1.48dB
PK 2, 3382Hz, Q 4, -2.07dB
PK 3, 10653Hz, Q 4, -2.67dB
PK 4, 17965Hz, Q 10, -1.78dB
With DSP no Problem to handel it.
Passiv you realy need an 18dB Filter @ 2kHz minimum i guess.

Now i will play around with the backchamber and its Volume, also with the shape.
Last Measurment was with an Chamber, 3mm deep, completly filled with 3mm Felt. (Volumen: 15380.3445mm³)
And sure the Material (ASA) isn't the best for an Resonance free Enclousure, i will change it later and make it out off MDF.

Will also Print an Frame with round Edges around the Waveguide 😉 Hopefully will get rid of some smaller resonances / non linearitys.
Here i did an Groundplane Mesurement, Distance 50cm:
Looks like this:
Realy nice and Clean, only one "red" spot need to get Fixed, Measurment goes til 35kHz !!!
Also with 0 to 40 degree Angle:
I am not an Expert in building Waveguides but for me it don't look to bad?

I guess i have found the right Enclousure for the AMT 😉
Volumen: 58399.6833 mm³
Enclousure Back Plate sealed with 1mm Rubberfoam 12mm deep filled with 12mm Felt:
Measured on Axis 1mm over the Ground, Distance 50cm:
Iam absolutly amased now looks exactly how i realy want it 🙂 Thats up tu 35kHz what more you realy want LOL
Now i need a Beer !
With 3,3uF and 4,7uF in Series (1/6 Smoothing):
So for Passive Crossover 3,3uF it the way to go i guess, thats pure fun dooing this work 😉
Here the Distortion Diagramm with 3,3uF🙂

Now an Quick and dirty 2 Way Passive Setup with an 18W 4434G00 Driver.
AMT 2 uF 2,2 Ohm in Series
18W 1,8mH in series 15uF Parallel
Frequncy:
Stepresponse:
Waterfall (With Room Resonannces LOL):
Distortions:
I need to shorten the Horn about 10mm for perfekt Stepresponse:
Now i need to do some listening tests 😉
