What type of chair is best?

How about a pre-amp controls at your fingertips kind of chair with low back so that your ears have no surfaces nearby, swivel to allow some adjustment, not too close to any walls

But a Captain of such an Enterprise needs to recline when he relaxes.

I have an Ikea Poang. It has been great. I have sheepskin that I lay on the bottom and on the backrest which is really great at absorbing reflections.

I do think the backrest is a bit high. But these are so cheap that you could simply hack it up to make it what you want. I will likely drop the backrest down by say 6" or so soon.

My listening chair which is about the same height is me when sitting home will kind of separate my ears from the sounds reflected from the big window behind me.
If i plan to have a long listening session i invite some of my friends. They make a huge improvement.

There are some net curtains and also some real curtains. But i like some light in my room.

Yes, but you can use the curtains at night when it doesn't matter.
