Need Help:5AR4 SPICE model problem
I tried to use the 5AR4 SPICE model in Multisim14, but could not make it work
1, I try to use the 5AR4 of the Multisim14, the multisim reports error when run the simulation

2, then I use the 5AR4 model of the DIYAUDIO, the simulation can work, but the output is only 2.5V. the SEC of the power transformer is 0-5(for the filament of 5AR4) and 230-0-230(for the HT)

what's wrong with it?

Yes the symbol has 4 terminals(P1,P2,H&K,H), the model only has two(A,K), and if just use two terminals, how to connected it with other component of the circuit?
You can't and why you are getting nonsensical results. Find another vacuum tube rectifier symbol with just two terminals or create one yourself.
the SEC HT of Power Transfomer is 230-0-230, and my circuit needs full-wave rectification. If the symbol of 5AR4 with just two terminals(A and K), how to connecte? It confused me😕
You will need to use two symbols, each with A and K, you then connect the K's together in the schematic.
Any other simulation software, you suggest? the Multisim is really not good, strange error, when simulating.LT-SPICE is better ?
Try LTSpice, it’s easy to use and free

Are you select the output (click on it) after running Transient?but no output
What about View-> SPICE Error log?
Wouldnt your voltage be 325v?
I thought this was peak voltage input, 230x1.414=325m RMS would be 230?
Thanks,It works now

I should find some book about LT-SPICE to learn, it is not as easy to use as Multisim, but more powerful🙂
Skype or "Gotomeeting" with someone that can show you, I learned more in 30 minutes than 2 days of studying.
Or Youtube some tutorials
