no i have tried one and the 1460 doesn't sound better than my previous 18sounds ND3N , i return them and take a pair of DCM50 wich goes lower ( 400hz is easy with the right horn ) sound smoother but needs a tweeter if you want to go past 10K
How flat from say 500 to 10kHZ, is the DCM50....are there any significant peaks or suck-out's that need DSP to correct? ..I realize that this is also waveguide/horn specific, but generally speaking was wondering if one needs to correct for anomalies between 500 and 10k...
Why don't you choose DCM414?no i have tried one and the 1460 doesn't sound better than my previous 18sounds ND3N , i return them and take a pair of DCM50 wich goes lower ( 400hz is easy with the right horn ) sound smoother but needs a tweeter if you want to go past 10K
Are those highly recommended?Would it ( Faital Pro 1460) have a somewhat smoother quality ( relaxed versus hype detail) then say the Faital Pro 1440, or B & C DCM 50, or perhaps a Beyma cp755nd?

Significant peaks and suck-out's are typically resonances which your DSP can't correct. Only the transducer design or modifications can.
It can only amplify or decrease the resonances in amplitude etc.
Overlay graphs and compare for an idea.
Dibirama measures with and without horn. What is visible in the impedance/phase graphs in both is also a indicator.
Should also be some more measurements around.
Compare it to a old midrange compression driver like for exampme what i adde below, and make own conclusions based on your priorities.

i don't have that peak at 1.5Khz with my 240HZ Tratrix horn just the little peak at 10Khz but i cut it before and have a tweeter so in my config the DCM50 is pretty flat +_2db from 450 to 8khz the only think that can make me change for a coaxial DCX50 or DCM464 is to have a point source even as it is difficult to match a 55cm diam Horn with a external tweeter..

Have been lurking here for a while and decided to make a 3-way with the Beyma CP755ND Al with the Ciare PR614 horn.
Will cross it somewhere around 800-1000Hz.
As woofer i will start with the Faital 15PR400 in a PPD subwoofer housing (ppd is an ripole like housing, but should be better). I am using that woofer allready in an open baffle speaker. I will see hoe it performs. Not easy to find an upgrade for that woofer. It will do the lows till around 100Hz.
And inbetween i am going for a 10" 18 sound 10NMBA520 on a open baffle in the 100-1000Hz range.
This will be powered bij Hypex Fusion 503 amps with dsp.
It will be used in a home audio situation.
I am following @milezone
Recomendations on a the CD driver and horn. Thanks for your work and effort to test so many drivers!
I do wonder if the larger horn can integrate well with the somewhat smaller mid i have in mind.
I am aware of the directivity issues that can happen. But i cant seem to find a way to figure that out...
Can someone eleborate on that?

A pitty he didn't test DE360 - best behaviour at high frequencies I know.
I still have a few different compression drivers around for testing, I will ask if he also wants to measure them.
He did:

Very clean above 2 Khz, but disqualified since it can't really go any lower.

Using the Ciare PR614 myself. Fantastic horn!

Yes - I sent one and he added it to the test group! 🤓He did:

I use it from 1,8-2kHz and it shines there. But it's not usable from 1kHz, that's for sure.
This Ciare PR614 is very similar to the Faital LTH142 i guess.Using the Ciare PR614 myself. Fantastic horn!
This Ciare PR614 is very similar to the Faital LTH142 i guess.
LTH142 has a tractrix profile (narrowing directivity) while PR614 is constant directivity (and hyberbolic in the vertical plane)
They look great!Using the Ciare PR614 myself. Fantastic horn!
What do you have below the horns?
I figured components in the center and woofers on the sides. pretty clean setup. I'm starting to feel like a disorganized slob.

Yes thats correct, bass bins in the TV bench 👍 (Ikea Mortviken doors for sound passthrough)
Faital HF146. Sounds great on these, and very flat without EQ out of the box. See attached measurement.
@Defo what CD with the PR614?

I’m currently running the Beyma cp750nd on my Azura 340hz horns.
They are unbelievable.
Life like, clear, with pinpoint imaging. Why people are not using this driver is beyond me.
Crossing 800hz-5000hz.
Here is an uncorrected measurement at my listening position.
