DIY computer speakers/sub

Hi Bull,

So I think I'll forget the satellite/sub idea.

Forget all the different classifications of pc-system, hi-fi, surround,etc... They all have the same goal in producing good quality sound. They do differ in some design rules but at the end of the line they all have to have a balanced frequency response.

If the anounced options are fixed........

I would definitely go for the mini sized hi-fi amp.

In this case "size matters"😀
The only way to gain more low is "size". Afterall low means lots of air movement which can only be generated by lots of cone surface!!🙂
If you do not mind to use 6" bass-mid. (this could mean a relatively large cabinet) with a soft dome tweeter, then go for it.
No fuss x-over, probably traight 6 db cut-off.....

Combination of the two above will give you the better result.

8inch Venom subwoofer in a 30 litre ported box for the low end? 😀 tuned to 36Hz.. 🙂
