Then I would have a lot of weight up top, or I could put it right above the sub but then if anyone stands up next to the sub to dance (which they will) then highs get lost into the person's belly ;)

Here are some photos of a previous bicycle build I did several years ago. It uses 4x10CL51, 4xgalaxy 5.5" drivers, a ~60L enclosure, powered by 36v li-ions, classdaudio.com amps. Pumps like crazy for about 20 hours with 10lbs of battery. Party machine.

This next project is trailer based, with not nearly as much consideration for weight efficiency. Really, I just want bass. If it's less portable, that's okay. I always have the older setup if I need something smaller and efficient

Nice ! I have been looking for someone who had used the Galaxy SN5's. How do you like them?

Might be time to bust out the 3D printer for the cone plugs and CD adapter.

Works real well for that - here is mine:

xrk! Yessss!!

Okay I am gonna move over to the SynTripP thread from here on out for the build.

Ahhhh feels so good to be back, I am more charged than ever!! Done with the warehouse switch, and now I have a literal arsenal of a shop at my fingertips. Cannot wait to get to work.

I've been reading through the synergy threads nonstop ever since Patrick re-sold me on it a few hours ago. I am kinda blown away to see how far things have come. This community is so rad, you are all so talented. I am honored to be here. Giving you all a huge internet hug

Oh forgot to ask, xrk- that plug & adapter isn't for the SynTripP is it? I hope not, I was looking forward to doing the CAD work myself ;)

No, that was for my Bookshelf Horn that leverages off-the-shelf 1.4in compression driver waveguides that we modify to fit an SB Acoustics full range 2.5in cone for the mid/tweet (nice low distortion) and a pair of 8in woofers with bandpass injection port for the midbass.

Thread is here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/285030-bookshelf-multi-way-point-source-horn.html

Bushmeister made one in same thread with dual SB23NSRX45's and the bass from those is incredible. I used dual RS180P's (photo below shows earlier version with DC200's).

I also printed the adapter that allows the woofer mount board to attach to the curved waveguide sidewall:

Although this is for a smaller size horn, nothing prevents one from using a 1.4in compression driver and a pair of 10CL51's. I used a Faital Pro LTH142 waveguide. There is a nice JBL horn on eBay for about $50 ea that has flat walls more suitable for mounting drivers.

Disclaimer: I'm up for a challenging build, so please don't dissuade me on this idea because of build difficulty.

Okay here's my question..
The end of the horn has almost a scoop on the end. Not really sure how to sim this, or what it would do to the response.
