What the schematic your using ? can you export schematic to images then post here ?
Please inbox to me. I can send to u schematic extractly (orignal).

Here are the schematics:cool:

Here are the schematics:cool:
VCC1 and VEE1 = +-80V
R25 = 51K
D9 = 10K
R21 = 12K
R29 = 330R
R34 = 10K
R33 = 510R // 10nF
R32 should parallel with 5pF.

You should use an regulator different to VCC1/VEE1 to Input Driver block. It's better than all.
Only TL5000 using an Regulator different to Input Driver floor.
TL2500 below using one Power Supply for All floor.

Thanks for the comments.
The values I have in my schematic is the same as the very well behaving and sounding Telos 400 clone from Quanghao´s hand.

I guess when you using a regulator for the input VCC1 VEE1 you do not need a Zener in the cascode, but if you use the unregulated VCC1/VEE1 it is mandatory.
R33 and R34 are wrong when using +/-80V. The values I have on the schematic is for +/-60V. So R34 should be 10K/3W as you say, but R33 should be 330/3W and no 10 nF capacitor . R 29 should be 220 Ohm.

No reason to put 5pF in parrallel with R32. The amp is completely stable without.

Why do you think I should change the values for R29 - R33 - R21 and the R25/D9 combination. It works perfectly well with the values shown?

Are you suggesting a seperate PS for the input with no connection to VCC/VEE or just a regulator instead of the two resistors in the Telos PS scematic? What should the voltage be for VCC1/VEE1 after the regulator?

I'm bad English.
You righ, some resistor change by Power Supply.
I will send orignal schematic to your inbox messenger.
I hope you will use this schematic for make Clone exactly.

I not good Electronic. I'm application engineer in biochemiatry analyzer device.
I self-study and self-employment electronic. Should, I only said from "Orignal" schematic.
Please check inbox to clair more.
I hope you can make an GM Clone exactly to anyone.
Good lucky to all.

Has anyone tried the SST404 or LSK489 on this clone?

I have been using the 2N5565 on another simulation I have been doing, and above duals give much better gain and phase margins in LTSPice's Tian probe simulations.

I have compare LSK389 and LSK489 on my clone. Conclusion: I like 389 a little bit than 489.

The LSK489 makes the sound a bit more airy (very subtle) and less "luxurious", and bass is "weak foot".

I have further experience with genuine NS 2N3958, I think it the best among the dual JFET I've ever tested. The sound of 2N3958 is luscious, like a sexy woman; its punchy bass and wonderful mid-highs makes it incredible.

I would suggest 2N3958>K389=~2N556X>LSK489.

Don't get stuck in 2N5564!
I mean, it's not that bad, but you don't have to insist on using 2N556X for GM, this just makes fakes more and more on the market, also raised prices.

Yes, exactly.

I have been using these. Fakes or no fakes, they perform very well indeed :D

Recently, I found that there are 2N556X on Mouser, manufactured by InterFet, named IFN556X. You can buy some.

No offence but your metal case JFET looks very fake. Probably counterfeit from China and Hong-Kong, and, the notorious TAOBAO (Aliexpress).
Just don't trust EOL (End of Life) things from China, though I know sometimes maybe they works.

I know the "China counterfeit industry" very well. They can make anything you want. I ever pretend to be a powerful buyer, and I asked them to produced faked MUSES02 OPamps.

They replied that the cost is about 0.5USD/pcs. If you can pay 1USD/pcs, they could guarantee the electrical performance of the faked OP, at least it would work and makes sounds.

Few days later, they sent me samples of the faked MUSES02 OP. You just can't tell the difference. As a buyer, you can specify the totem, date codes on the surface of OPamps, anything and whatever you want!:yes:

8 Amp 2SK vs. 8 Amp Exicons. I don't have double die Exicons.
2SK and Exicons are similar (or not that noticeably different) at mid-high, but substantial difference at bass!
It's punchy, vivid bass.

I never go back to 2SK/2SJ after that trial, always Exicons, though much more expensive.

BTW, I use plastic TO-247 10N20/10P20.

Best,

Eric
Eric ,
I'm planning to build the Telos Clone and I want to use the Exicon ESX10P/N20 fets .Is it needed to recalculate the Gate resistor ?
