Hello Tim,
I've been on TR2 for the past weekend, and the library bug concerning large content is finally ironed out 🙂
1- One thing I have noticed though is that loading the library takes quite some time every time I switch to the library tab, and searching within the library is also slow enough to be tedious at times.
Note that I have more than 43,000 tracks
2- A nice addition would be to filter all panes in the library tab when a search is performed.
For thew time being only the albums are filtered.
That's all for now 🙂
Regards
Nick

Hello Tim
First felicitation for this work moOde is really great.
I have two questions.
Is it possible to sort the column album by date, not alphabetically?
How to save his plalists when updating?
Thank you
Jack
Hi Jack,
Eventually I'll get to enhancing the Library panel but for now there are no sort options available.
Saved Playlists are stored in /var/lib/mpd/playlists directory. U could copy from / to this dir.

Tim

Hi Nick,
Glad to hear large collection successfully loading 🙂
For reference, my 18K track test collection on USB HDD, initial load is about 8 secs and then 2 secs thereafter from cache. This is on WiFi connected Pi to Macbook Air (WiFi).
What your config?
- Pi model
- SD card class
- Network connections
- Client (Laptop, tablet, smartphone)
- Browser
Regards,
Tim
Hello Tim,
Below are my answers inline
What your config?
- Pi model
RPi2 model B+
- SD card class
Class 10 Sandisk 16GB
- Network connections
Ethernet
- Client (Laptop, tablet, smartphone)
The lag is still present using any of the above mentioned clients, noting that both smartphone and tablet are android devices (a Samsung Galaxy S6 and a Samsung Tab)and my laptop runs win7
- Browser
Chrome
My music collection is located on a NAS drive connected through ethernet to the same router as the Rpi2
Hope this helps
I will try to measure how much time it takes to load the library tonight and revert back with the results.
Regards,
Nick
Edit: I must add that i had to scan my music collection 3 times for all tracks to show up in the library tab

Probably something I'm doing wrong but I'm having problems seeing some music folders/songs after doing a MPD update - I'm using the SD card for my music collection.
Here's what I did during setup (and comments)
1/ I Selected "Expand SD Card storage". (This obviously worked as I can see the majority of my music but when I go back to System Config again the "Expand SD Card storage" is still showing "No"?
2/ To add music, I'm going into File Explorer -> Network -> Moode -> sdcard and copying my music folders/files onto the sdcard directly. (Only discovered I could do this after going thru the thread - previously I was using a USB memory stick and removing it each time to add more music folders and files).
3/ After each addition to the sdcard (above) I use the MPD update - (I can access the music in Browse but it continually shows "Updating" at the bottom of the Browse panel).
So, at the moment, in File Explorer the sdcard has 33 music folders but I only see 28 in Moode's Browse section.
Any ideas? Maybe it has something to do with me using Network in File explorer to update the sdcard?
Thanks for any help.

Not sure if others have noticed a lot of messages like the following in the system log:
cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain
...
cfg80211: Exceeded CRDA call max attempts. Not calling CRDA
It looks like the CRDA package was missing from Jessie. I just did an apt-get install crda and rebooted and the messages seem to be gone.
Found the answer here: raspbian - Jessie: cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain - Raspberry Pi Stack Exchange

Hi,
(1) SD Card expand is a one time action so gets reset to No. Similar to Clear system logs action.
(3) Sometimes the "Updating" spinner does not clear. Restart MPD usually fixes this.
The two main causes that prevent MPD from being able to index a directory or a file are:
(a) permissions
(b) corrupt metadata in the file, or some other form of file corruption

Tim

Hi, I have a feature request:
Would it be possible to make each piece of the folder hierarchy in the browse tab a link?
usb/music/flac/classic rock/the who.....
This would eliminate having to hit the back button multiple times if you are several folders deep.
Thanks
GGM

Hi Tim - great features for the PCM5122 - thanks! One point on the config for Suptronics x400 in 2.5 TR2 - I just got an x400, and the chip is a BB PCM5122, but in the config settings in Moode it comes up as Burr Brown PCM1794. Are there two variants of this board? Adrian
