New PassDIY Headphone Amp (now available)

Oh my! :D

Got my Auricaps today so I hooked it up with an LM4562 I had in the stash and my GH1's. Absolutely beautiful! Depth and 3-D soudtaging like I have never heard before and that Bass! Very happy camper here!

Now I can't wait for my Burson V5i!

both Mouser and Digi-key have the Fairchild mosfets for under 90 cents apiece. :D
B+D has one of the Toshiba jfets in stock, but not the other.
I found a surplus retailer in FL web site that has NOS Toshiba, but like everyone else the jfest are 7 or 8 dollars apiece .
The ebay Vishay IR jfet prices are 5 for around $20

Nice build...where did you get your board?

Do you really need input coupling caps if the source is DC free?

Opinions of the LM4562, like any other op-amp, are going to vary.
Personally, I don't care for it's "dry" sound and its p_ss-poor PSSR having tried it in many different applications.

Glad the combination of the coupling caps and LM4562 worked out so well for you and you're now a "very happy camper".
In the end and when all the dust clears, that's what it's all about...total satisfaction!
