Q acustica 1000si crackles after use

Hi I have a Q acustics 1000si sub that sounds great for the first 30 to 45 mins than it will pop and start making some hi pitched noises when I change the vol it will keep doing it until I rest it for a while and I get another 30mins or so as anyone got any idea of what can be caused g it pls.

the amp is telling you it's had enough and likely caps are failing and the instability is producing the high pitched noises (oscillation).

"and all boast the same excellent, low distortion, ferro-fluid cooled, micro polyester weave tweeter."

this is from the marketing blurb on the company's website...since when does a "sub" have a tweeter and boasting about a 100 watt amp for low frequencies come on, really!!

there's better stuff out there but maybe not at that price!

Thanks for the help would you look at the smoothing caps first then?.

that, and the integrity of the diodes in the supply, with potential oscillation/instability everything from supply line bypassing to transistor/op-amp junction breakdown is possible.

hope your troubleshooting skills and test equipment are up for it!

there's not enough to go on without a proper diagnosis and there's no known common fault to that particular unit to be able to say change part "x" and your problem is fixed...sorry!
