Hi I have a Q acustics 1000si sub that sounds great for the first 30 to 45 mins than it will pop and start making some hi pitched noises when I change the vol it will keep doing it until I rest it for a while and I get another 30mins or so as anyone got any idea of what can be caused g it pls.
the amp is telling you it's had enough and likely caps are failing and the instability is producing the high pitched noises (oscillation).

this is from the marketing blurb on the company's website...since when does a "sub" have a tweeter and boasting about a 100 watt amp for low frequencies come on, really!!
there's better stuff out there but maybe not at that price!

that, and the integrity of the diodes in the supply, with potential oscillation/instability everything from supply line bypassing to transistor/op-amp junction breakdown is possible.
