Youknow, you have posted the wrong URL. You have posted the translated URL that supports your choice of posts/page/ Your link only works for those that have choosen the same number of pages. You need to copy the post URL under the post # and give that to us.

Your post above for instanceL https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/seas-a26-devore-style-build.369124/post-7106972

But the translated link is: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/seas-a26-devore-style-build.369124/page-27#post-7106972

Given that you do not have the same posts/page as me the 2nd won’t work.

Looks like you could use some rebates and some ModPodge.

Love the towels. I usually use open cel foam. Suggests the box not right for the (JBL?) woofer.

Seas a26.
as much as i like them, im kinda shocked by how limited these are in resolution, in extension, in bass quality vs my big 3 way.
Thanks for posting the link to your system. It would appear you favor series passive crossovers. Did you happen to try the Seas A26 with a series crossover and a high Zout amplifier when you listened to it?

Below is the series crossover I use with my Seas A26 aperiodic 28L cabinets. It sounds quite good with diy clones of the First Watt F1J and F3 amplifiers. The former is a transconductance amp, the latter is a voltage source amp with a DF of 6. The crossover uses one leveling resistor and one shunt resistor so it may not be to taste.

do you have measurements of ur A26?

Or maybe it doesn't like the location. ;)

Haha indeed

the bookshelves are now gone cause it totally messed with the bass response

I've always wanted to play with that HiVi RT2H-A
I remember zaph and people beating it up on distortion graphs.
A builder who helped me once loved it.

It survives with a single cap ?
What value ?
Is the pole at 5khz ?

To me, that necessitates a 3-way needing to be crossed that high.
But, it could go louder / lower with steeper crossover slopes.

As a 2-way, I don't think it is an option if you use 6db slope................

youknowyou, I see this on post 3,560

"Xo points were actually 1200hz and 300hz
Acoustically, its a 3rd order highpass on the Planar and 1st order lowpass on the PR170M0."

Looking at the raw data of rt2h, it rolls naturally below 1.5khz.

If you are a 6db time/phase guy (or 6db lazy, lol), I can see doing a 5khz pole.
Doesn't follow 6db down 1st octave then 12db down 2nd octave that I'm ok with (then rolling off faster).

https://positive-feedback.com/reviews/hardware-reviews/acuhorn-15-loudspeakers/#:~:text=It all adds up to,quite as resolving lower bass.
"The crossover frequency is set at 1 kHz, and it is a simple, 1st order crossover. "

im not aware what zaph said about the RT2ha, Troel likes it and i really like it as well.

in my speaker,
Xo points 1200hz and 300hz
Acoustically, its a 3rd order highpass on the Planar and 1st order lowpass on the PR170M0.

Tomorrow i will grab / analyze that article.

Seeing rt2h natural roll off at 1.5k, i know i would melt the tweeter, especially 6db run over a 15".

There are flat 15"s (not many), but a tall order to get a 95db one that doesn't roll off at 100hz........
Or have huge peaks past 1k.
96db plus 30 watts doesn't equal 116 db at 30hz.
Bass will warble voice, or trumpets will warble listing to original battlestar galactica theme.
Even my double 15's crossed at 750hz would do that.

A quick skim of that article makes my head ache.
I enjoy a 15 doing bass through mids.
