Slewmaster - CFA vs. VFA "Rumble"

It's probably not the best environment for listening tests, but I'm happy with the sound so far. :)
Now I have some music while finishing the other channel and work on the chassis. :)

Yes I think so. It still don't play at ear bleeding levels, but I guess that's because I'm playing on junk speakers inside a 50m2 garage.

Jwilhelm: I plan to use my lcduino with r2r attenuator and dcb1 buffer on this one but I sold my Nad M51 so I guess I have to build another preamp or dac. Any suggestions?

Wow , somebody actually clipped !

I see there is discussion about servo values. I have standardized with
a simple combo of 1 meg/1uF for all my servo'ed IPS's.
As I mentioned before , 5.6K for the spook/symasui servo outputs.
(470R for ND/C servo's)
BTW , I am "fully back". No longer have to worry about ISP's being
in a city with 100mb service dripping from the trees. :)

OS, glad you got things worked out....Boards for the latest group buy should be ready to ship to me this coming week.

What boards ?

The big OPS boards have one small over sight , the interface euro's are 4.87mm spacing instead of 5.03mm. Not a big issue , but this should still be fixed.

I'm thinking of condensing these slewmaster designs.
It is a real draw between the symasui/spooky/kypton ND designs. These 3
are electrically and sonically the best of any designs I have ever built
from this forum.

Symasui and ND are good candidates for a "Badger" type integrated PCB.
To Combine the Badger layout (3 pairs) with alternating P/N outputs to
have full rail cancellation at the output stage would make for one of
the most perfect AB amps ever.

I have a pair of ND's and a pair of symasui's in use now , I can't see how
any of the more complicated designs bring anything more to the table.
If you can't hear or can barely measure the noise floor .... and know
the design is <20ppm or better , what's the point ?

I'm not saying it is pointless to explore all these topologies , quite the
learning experience.
It does seem the most simple of them (symasui/ND) are the best all
around performers and deserve the spotlight (integrated boards).

You prefer the ND to your Spookys then?

I've been really considering integrated designs too. These amps are too long for a chassis. A three pair Badger design with MT-200s was what I was thinking as well, but I was thinking of designing it so board mounted flat on the heat sink so the outputs would need to mount low.
