Speaker Protection Board

Been doing this Audio sillyness since 1967 ..Have Never Ever perceived the need or even seen the point of a 'speaker' protector.
Too much like wearing a double condom imo.. :ROFLMAO:
You people are 'Roadies' for a touring Rock Band... where on stage exuberance can risk blowing out a H Frequency driver coil ??

It’s an option with the link. Some designers prefer the protection to latch so the amp has to be powered down and then back on again. If you provide an overcurrent trip input, it’s a good idea to latch the protection circuit. This gives you an opportunity to check for speaker cabling shorts etc.

For DC offset, normally you don’t want it to latch, but to reconnect the speaker if the offset goes away. For example, if an amp clips, it often causes a DC offset. You don’t want the protection to latch in that case.

Eventually I completed the parts and did put the board together. Testing the board under the conditions you showed in the here enclosed drawing I get rather different V-readings from yours.
Voltages on pins 6, 7 and 8 ( UPC1237 ) read according to the drawing.
What can be the reason of the big differences on pins 1, 2, and 4? Please see attachment.
