To have as much fun as absolutely possible.
I share that philosophy. Life is an optimization problem - how to maximize fun without generating unintended consequences?
Thats a good requirement that I would sign off to. It would mean that while you do either fun things or not so fun (not so fun in order to enable times of fun) - one should not cause any damage or disturbance, short or long term, to other fellow fun optimisers.without generating unintended consequences

One thing that is giving enjoyment in life is music.
So, we are correct in spending time building stereo amplifiers and loudspeakers.
The construction is one enjoyment. The other fun is to listen to the music we like.

I'll give it a go: Damage is the negative thing one has to endure/create in order to enjoy good. If you need to start a war in order to appreciate a good episode of Faulty Towers, your Ying and Yang is out of tune 😉

I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it.a war
<pedant> The name was 'Fawlty' but certainly his Towers were faulty after Mr O'Reilly got to work on them...
You have one and only one purpose in life and that it to fill an evolutionary niche. Nothing more. If you understand that, and accept fully the consequences of humankind’s position, then and only then will you value your life fully and your place in the cosmos
In every episode they change the name on the sign - like "Watery Fowls (with a kid seen adjusting it), Farty Tower, Flay Otters, Fatty Owls, Warty Towels, Flowery Tw@ts and Farty Towels" 🙂

Epicurean pleasure-maximization/pain-minimization? Subject to some Entropy Law that any closed system total pain-pleasure-difference will tend to increase unbounded!

😉 The anthropic principle explains all
There is a restrictive lower bound on how statistically probable our observations of the universe are, because observations could only happen in a universe capable of developing intelligent life.

Then I'm a complete failure. But I do not accept that actually. Not a complete...You have one and only one purpose in life and that it to fill an evolutionary niche. Nothing more. Me too. I have never fulfilled my biological destiny and almost certainly never will. In retrospect this is a good thing I think. There are many genetic aspects of my existence that are best left to wither away. I'm referring to the tragic history of mental illness in my family. I don't want to keep that in the gene pool, just like descendants and relatives of Hitler chose not to procreate.
What is the meaning of life, hum....
The answer is : "ask ChatGPT !"

The answer is : "ask ChatGPT !"

As the per ww1 song:
We're here because we're here because we're here...
There's no meaning or secret to it, no 'journey' and no destination except non existence.
