Pavel Dudek's (Upupa Epops) LM4780 amp

Any chance on a pre-amp for this power-amp in the same quality Pavel? Till the time beiing: What should be a good value of the potentiometer in a passive volume control? 10k, 50k, 100k ?

I added a little fan on the heatsink, just for in case that...... In a few days i will post foto's of this modification.

By the way,

How amazing that tere is so little respose on this subject.

Has nobody completed this power-amp? Can't believe it.

Come on..... share your experience and foto's here!!

Can't wait.

Yes you are right Peranders. Its the same with me. Too much project at the same time.

Thanks for your suggestion for the value of the pot. I will use 10K as you suggested.

I still hope to hear from more builders of this amp.

It's always nice to see foto's and read comments.

...almost finished 2

Hi guys ,

Almost finished mine as well building 3 things at once...ORION speakers, UGS preamp and this...oh and an M3 preamp as well so all are creeping along to completion...it's great fun...hope to have this working to liven up the place for New Year....

I finished mine a couple of weeks ago. :)
They are nog playing happily in my Orion setup, powering the midrange and tweeter.
Sounds great and was easy to bulid.
I made two mistakes, found them quite easily to.
1. VR2 was grounded to my heat sink wich caused a short circuit that fried D3.
2. I didn't read the f****g manual. :D  :devilr:

Thanks to Pavel and Per-Anders for putting up such a great GB.

And whatabout this amp ?

Lovely,

Yes Pavel,

I did ask about the PCB for it, the Orions deserve something like this.

I have all the info on version 222SE but scant details on MKII.

Gorgeous piece of work as usual ....you set standards so high that you cannot slip now....hehe.

Best Regards
