Its counterintuitive to unwound and unwound before entering the adjustment area. When not realizing that, makes you initially think the reg must be broken. 😕

Yes, the one you suggested. I'm wondering though is such a big sink needed? is it possible to go with a smaller sink to save space?
Depends on how high CCS setting you will eventually have with the real load. Is it getting warm to the touch after idling for say half an hour as is? If yes, leave it. If stone cold, possibly get a smaller sibling and save the bigger one for a heavier application in the future.
