Thanks waxx.

How about SB26CDC which is vertually flat but an half dB perhaps around 6K Hz. and the bigger Eton HD29 -2 (28 dome) that have a vey not flat curve and said to sound smooth almost dark (@gregulator iirc testimonial) : https://audioxpress.com/article/test-bench-eton-29hd2-magnesium-ceramic-28mm-dome-tweeter
VS https://hificompass.com/en/speakers/measurements/sbacoustics/sb-acoustics-sb26adc-c000-4

both ceramic coated, strangly the sb26 seems way better, despite the bigger dome and neodynium of the Eton (not really advised for instance to cut off <2K hz)

The cdc is a little flater till 20k than the ADC which is the same w/o the ceramic coating (certainly for aesthtical reasons and to prevent rusting maybe in some environment)

I don't think that one is as good as the ADC, that sounds warmer. I think the ADC is exceptional, and by far the best tweeter in its priceclass and a few above. I even rate it above the Seas T27 and Scanspeak D3004 variations.

Hi. I used the 5" oval one, so it matched the MW13TX I used. Worked like a charm. But the KEF got me good... Because the smooth and even response in both horizontal and vertical direction, really seems to work great in my room 👌

Thanks, how it's translate in sounds term please (I know, difficult exercice) : less hard or smoother sound ? Same timbers and sparkles but better soundstage , ETC... with and without the WG.

Have you experienced a Be dome too ? (at SB acoustics it is hard to benchmark as all the Be are bigger dome diameter and also more wide surrounds rings like... which the SB26 ADC/CDC is not)

I have an old Wharfdale tweeter with Beryllium dome. When shining a laser pointer at it, the light goes through it, but feels very stiff and sounds very sweet. Never heard another metal dome sound like this. Problem I only have one. 😢

good story,, so you can poll propasal number one 🙂 . I hesitate with a cheap ferrite SB acoustic sb29R with Be, for now Materion gave up the Be foil sheets to hifi brands. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not; no one is knowing if they stopped because potential law risks with Be and mass market end users or if they have enough customers for heavier applications related to what they can produce/source ?!

The 104/2 has a very good soundstage, they disseaper almost of the room ! The 104 with its passive radiator iirc, I don't remember.
