100W Ultimate Fidelity Amplifier

50x50 F8 by Sonal

Yes, yes i have seen the new F8 and would put it to a project to learn more
in Eagle CAD- and tje- sonal comes here after two days..... :bawling:
Nice, i like it- the next in 50x50 class Amp. Wow so fast! :).
Next step should be place an order- that needs gerber files too. :p

Cheers Bangla.

Soon one more 50x50 class amp. FX8 based on sonal kunal pcb.

............. 300 VA, 2 x 25V,.............. 35V, so maybe it is a good start.
Do you think 250VA is sufficient to work or should I invest in 300VA?.......
your 25-0-25Vac transformer will give you approx ±35Vdc.
that will get you roughly 50W into 8ohms.
Two channels comes to 100W total. You need a 100VA to 200VA to run that well.
If you use 4ohms speakers then your total maximum output power goes up to around 180W. For that you should use a transformer from 180VA to 360VA.
And to minimise the change in transformer voltage due to transformer regulation I suggest the smallest transformer for a power amplifier should be 160VA.
A 160VA toroid usually has a regulation value between 7% and 9%.

ALFET FX8 Board

Yes Dobrivoje, with ALFET NP Type is real nice choice.

Never seen long time, because more than 1 or 2k was sold for one best known
Amplifier here. :wave2s:
Do you need a little heat sink for TO126 Transistor- runs more stable in bias
and offset- if they run to hot bias rises away- have you tested without cooling?
Mine are running with only 100mA 24/7 at moment.

Cheers Bangla.

Sorry for stupid question, but how did you get 50W?
I thought the voltage at the speaker was defined by the impedance of course, but also with the power of the amplifier and the power the speaker can manage.
Do you know good documents on Internet for my learning?

ps: My speakers are 8 ohm
