why do we need 900watt of mosfet output stage for 225watt into 8 ohms
i didn't understand your answer
you quoted exactly from my post.why do you think so
You understood how to interpret the message contained in what I said.
You queried "why" which is asking for confirmation behind the science of where my recommendation came from. This confirms you understood the statement.
I think the reason you queried the need for 900W of output stage mosFETs was because you don't like the idea of using that robust an output stage due to the amount of resources it will commit you to using.
That's why I said
I think you understand my statement.
I also think you don't like my statement.
Hello
how do I print the pcb layout correctly formatted
sincerely
svsommer
PCB size is 60x82,5mm

thanks apexaudio
when I print it
then it is only 29X40mm

i asked apexaudio
why do you interfere in my question in apexaudio thread
It's a solid state thread.
If ApexAudio wants his own thread he can go to the Vendors' section. Even there, the threads are open to Members.
Post436 is not interfering. It is passing on my experience to an earlier question.
Post437 asked directly and I replied.

Hello
I will try to build a 6 cannel amp for my HTPC
I will use five APEX AX14 and one D14 for subwoofer.
But what about power supply, Soft start and toroidal?
Regards

Use this simple soft-start circuit, and DC protect with triac or use PSU with protect...

Hello apexaudio
This Regulated psu
How many watts can it tolerate?
These capacitor 10000uf 100v can I use some others.
And MAC224 to the speaker terminal, I can not find in Denmark
Have you a layout for the speaker terminal.
Regards

With 3 pairs of output Regulated PSU will run all 6 channels, capacitors can be 63V for this amp, triac can be replaced with BT139 or similar and pcb for speaker terminal is in post #355. You can add this circuit 'Turn on/off mute with FET'.

and three pieces toroidal 500VA 2 x 55v
Maximum DC rail voltage for AX14 (single pair of outputs) is +/-56V with 8 ohm load or +/-45V with 4 ohm load. Transformer 2x55vac give +/-77v DC on caps after bridge rectifier. You can adjust DC rail voltage to +/-56V with regulated PSU, but there will be high disipation. I suggest 2x40vac...
regulated psu
what can you recommend regulation for high power amps,
higher than 100w design
for b250,b500,h900,h1200 sir
regards.
sir apex,For better sound use Regulated PSU.

I have noticed one thing, that if you use a local EC loop for the driver and output stage circuit and a low power small signal regulator circuit for the IPS and VAS, the power supply noise becomes part of the 'error' and is largely accounted for in the correction signal. But local loops complicate just a little more.
