sir apex,
can i use this regulated psu for higher amp,
for b250,b500,h750,h900,h1200?
regards
Regulated PSU can't be use with class H amps. For B250, B500 and HV350 you can use this circuit for regulated PSU.

sir apex,
with 2x65ac like this and 3x10,000uf per rail,
what will be volt in DC?,with regulation like this will voltage drop reduce when amp is loaded, even in stereo or better separate or two regulator ckt.

You can adjust output DC votage from +/-50V to +/-80V. If you set +/-65V there will not be voltage drop at full load.

Hi Apex and others,
My AX14 is playing now with apex regulated supply.(40V DC) Sound good !
Use a good pot for bias ! no change and suddenly 5V on 10R i 've put in place of the fuse. I've to change my pot, it is quasi impossible to adjust.
No plop when power on. Offset around 5mv.
Some pictures
Thanks APEX. Nice amp for my son.

Nice work, thanks for the pictures, what speakers U use?

Just now, i listen with my KEF104 on the Amp. Good bass ! Maybe need to play with input capacitor (Nichicon 10 uf at the moment).

Do you considering to make stereo amp in case?
Yes, tonight i'll print the second PCB (tonner transfer). I have already all the parts.
Do you think it is possible to use 4X 4700uf for the regulated supply for one channel at 40V ?
I have 2 transfos 2X30V 120VA. Amp is running now with one and the regulated supply. The transfo is cold !
The better way is maybe 2X mono with 1transfos and 1psu (4X4700UF) for each channel?

With transfos 120VA 2X30vac use 1 PSU with 4x4700uF/50V for each channel, or use one 300VA transfo, 1 PSU with 4x10000uF/50V for stereo.
Hi, Apex.. i've try the regulated supply with a chinese kit (jims audio) that i couldn't make work correctly. Surprise !! works good now ! too much trebble for my taste, too cristalin ; but that'is a other story ! (Kef104AB).
Now i have to try one of your amp ...AX14 or FX100 ???
Now can you compare sound of AX14 and 'Jims Audio' ?

thanks for very considerate answer, regarding ampere of the regulated supply, how much ampere for every 5200/1943 added ?
previous post you mention 3 pair can run 6 channel?

5A for every 2SA1943/2SC5200, or use one pair in regulator for two pair in amplifier output. 3 pairs in regulator can run 6 channels AX14.
sir apex,
i must say you highly recommend this regulator even for b500 use,how many pair of 5200 for b500 or better upgrade regulator schematic for b500 use,please,... and so i can post recommend it to b500 builder in b500 thread,
sorry for talking of b500 here, but i believe all this amp is brothers,

For B500 use 2 pairs 2SA1943/2SC5200 in regulator.

Hi Apex,
Spend the day listening to AX14, My other amp is a symasym 5.3
Sound of AX14 is very good, bass are impressive, trebble and médium not agressive.very dynamic. (very much power for so a little board at 40VDC)
I'll made a complete amp. I've print a second regulated psu board and the second amp board.
It will be 2Xmono: 2XTransfo 30VAC 120VA (have them on stock), 2 reg PSU with 4X4700uf (find nichicon 4700uF/80V for 2Euros/p).
I think i'll be very happy with it.
Thanks for protection board, but i use velleman K4700 (very little board for two channels protection).
Thanks again, will give some news about the stéréo AX14.

You will be very happy with stereo sound of AX14, and you will build dual mono amplifier with regulated PSU, that will be best version of AX14. I expect good news about the stereo AX14, try it with another speakers and compare it with another amp...

what's is the size of your ax14 pcb and its protection?
Do you have pdf file for pcbs?
thank you
