Nice work Miro. Might give one a try.. if just using 44.1khz source would we be better using a crystal speed directly divisible by 44.1.?

Got my dac in a chassis yesterday. Using my hotrod PSU1 with the Ti regulators. Added 47uf on the outputs. Seems to work well. Maybe didn't need anything.

Using a cheap 7805 for the AK4118 at the moment. Need to improve that but it is sounding very good.

Hi guys,

I was just going to order a simple Toslink/I2S board via Banggood, ebay or wherever and now see, that you have a better option with the WM8804/PCM2706 board.

What should I do?
Order a simple €20,- board for functionality test anyway?
Any recommendation?
Which chip? WM8804? DIR9001?
Stop buying this garbage and start copying Miros WM8804/PCM2706 board?

@jimk04 you nailed it, very cool :up:

@Zatopek
>>What should I do?
Well, it depends:
- if are you more for "ready made" things and you want to save money, buy it from china, there is no chance to compete with this country :D
- if are you more for DIY and for experimenting (it still glow untested), try my PCB. I'm curious if it will work with the isolating transformer :spin:

Above, Ernst member have purchased a USB to I2S interface for 20 euros with good parts on it...

Miro, I have ordered the uf-L version plus the PS board + 2 tons of the soicSOIC double to single DIP from Vunce pcb... Can you believe it, lol !

I need to call back my doctor, I dived again !
