@planet10
I have a question about the Pensil 10.3.
If I double the thickness of the front panel -- mostly to provide additional thickness to achieve a roundover in real wood -- what does that do to the port at the bottom?
I would probably stop the front piece at the top of the port and round over to it resulting in a partly flared opening. But isn't the configuration of the opening critical? Would this screw things up?

Hi. Just arrived back home from Myanmar Yangon. Maybe in the weekend further.@Hondasnl
How's it going?
All 32mm panels (except the 32mm baffles) glued together with overlength, but internal dimensions are according design and drawing.
Very heavy and strong already!
This weekend I'll sanding all overlength panels with the adjacent panels and make a start with the baffles.
Nice speakers!

Where can I get the plans?FWIW, I purchased a FHXL flat-pack kit from Planet-10 several years ago; one of the few kits to come down into the USA from Canada. I have nothing else to compare them to, but hands down they have been the finest sounding/performing loudspeakers I have ever owned (still are). Everyone who has ever come over to listen to them has been blown away. The most incredible aspect is their phenomenal bass. However, that does not overshadow their wonderful speed, transparency, and ability to put the listener right into the venue. And, all from a single crossover less 6-in driver. Truly amazing.
A big step further today.
Also good machines.
Still a very rough surface but very good dimensions, leveled and correct angles.
Greetings from The Netherlands, Brielle.

My pair is done and the time came to finally listen what they have to offer..
My final design was with 30mm plywood and a 20mm panel for the internal tube. The Tube starts much lower than a typical TQWT as I think is the same with the original Sibelius. More here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/pearl-acoustic-sibelius.378803/post-7613997
These are connected to a Pass F4 and a tube preamp. Without spending too many hours of listening or burn-in, all I can say is:
1. these things have more than enough bass response.
2. Very clear.
I am very happy with the result and now I can start working on how I can interplay them with the DIY panel speakers in the back.
Thanks everyone for their input and @Hondasnl for the initial designs & motivation!

Not even 10. Still long way to go. Though I am not sure how much it will be them changing (improving?) or my ears getting used to them .
Unfortunately I can't let them play for many hours since it's very hot here and that A class pass F4 is not very happy. My other diy AB is on the bench for repairs so it will be a slow progress .
