Okay, so I just bought a pair of Bang & Olufsen Type K speakers. They're from the sixties. I haven't plugged them in yet, but they are in fine cosmetic condition. Which was the most important part for me. My idea is to use them for a build with the Seas A26.
Outside dimensions are 40x48x65.
Is this a feasible project?

If we assume 15mm material and ignore any bracing, 103 litres.
You will need to lose some volume or use 2 woofers per cabinet.

I doubt it, but if it has these on them it is probably worth mre than the entire loudspeaker whole. The other parts will have value as well.

So two A26 per cabinet? One for Fs-200 hz and the other for something like 200-1000 hz, and then a tweeter? Would that make sense?
Does anyone know these drivers? Are they original?

Either both in parallell like A50 or a 2.5 way system, with the top of one rolled off so only 1 A26 reaches the tweeter.
Or you could add a partition and create a void.

The original Dynaco A25 had the Seas A25 woofer (rebranded to the Dynaco A25 woofer) and the Dynaco A25 tweeter that was actually a rebranded Seas H087.
Those in your picture look like very different speakers. They are the Peerless PA3-25 speakers. The tweeter is the (very sought after) Peerless model MT-225 cone tweeter. the mid is a Peerless B65MRC and the woofer is the CM 120 W. These were used in a 3 way diy kit from the late 1960's and early 1970 and your's look like a build from that kit. The only thing missing is the original crossover, but that is not bad as it's far from optimal, and will be so aged it needs replacement anyway... I don't know if they were sold as (rebranded) B&O speakers, but i know that kit. I restored a few of those in the past and they are great vintage speakers if you rebuild the crossover.

The images of the speakers and drivers shows that they are in really good condition. The horseshoe magnets could be alnico as well. Possibly keep them as original and sell on. Especially if you do not find the sound to your taste.
Possibly the original Bipolar capacitors have past their sell by date. In fact, does one of the large yellow capacitors show some deposits at the endcap seal to the body. You also have some kind of furring on the semi-circular mounts. So that could be time for a precautionary face mask and gently cleaning wiping that away and dispose of the brushes and rags.
I would not try to use an airline to attempt the cleaning as this could distribute the deposits inside the whole speaker.

Malm7913, please keep the classic Beovox speakers as they are! A26 kit will be much worse in many ways! At that time B&O engineers were top, hardly anyone else understood so much about loudspeaker design.
Boxes look perfect too. They most likely perform better than the Peerless kit linked above. I would like to see measurement too, and if you or some of your friends has time, it would be interesting to see on-and offaxis measurements too, and for one driver unit at the time.

Basically I was intrigued about making a cheapo version of the Devore 0/96 speakers. That brought me to this thread
I want a fuller sound, with tighter bass. the speakers look so cool, but they sound kinda like they look: pibe and slippers
And sort of thin...Thank you for your reply. Yes they look great, but the sound is lacking. Especially the bass is not prominent enough. I like ambient/electronic music a lot, and the B&O Type K speakers aren't built for that. I'm contemplating a new bass driver, and keeping the tweeter and maybe the midrange. Then there's the crossover, that'll probably need a complete redo.
I don't even know if the A26 is the right driver to go forward. And as such I'll make a new thread for this rebuild if necessary, instead of hijacking this one

The actual Seas A26RE4 can be the right driver, in a 150L ported cabinet, but not in this one you have. In a TL (that will be similar size) it can also work. I have a raw plan (not finished yet) to do a TL with that driver and a SB26ADC tweeter (my favorite dome tweeter next to the vintage Seas H087). You could do something similar, or use the Seas A26 kit driver combo in a reflex or TL as that combo is also good.I don't even know if the A26 is the right driver to go forward. But with the cabinet you have, i would not change the drivers, just fix the crossover that looks too old to be still good. It's a valuable piece of speaker history that in good shape should sound good. I think you should not change it.
One way to go would be to save original front plate (baffle) with drivers and xo, detached from the box. Then the new design has all freedom to select drivers and xo, even to go active. Original looks will be saved and speakers can be reversed to original condition.
