My 2N5565 was from utsource and they have been performing very well in the Telos design. If they are fake I do not know , but as long as they perform as the original, I for one don´t care.Hi my friend Koldby
And if it works does not mean that it is not FAKE
I see your sources USA seems good but very expansive , but sources China all are FAKE.
Can somone make a copy of the original that works just as well, I will use that with great pleasure.
I agree that the USA BSS are very expensive though!

Agree, seems you have and the originak 2N5565 and compare it?
Μy supplier has forced me to take ten BSS74, and ten BSS71 total (100 $) and waiting longer than a month to came.

I do not have proven originals to compare, but the Telos works with the same specs and bias settings, no need for extra decoupling, aso aso so I conclude they are either originals or very close copies, and I am happy with them.
Maybe I was just lucky?

anybody compare with vssa, ska, aksa? anybody?! :S
The Goldmund clone amplifier has all the character of VSSA plus strength
i hate the amplifiers who have not have strength.
Hello Alan0354, please kindly explain what YBA means ? Are you talking about the original amplifier I have recently posted with PCB and all schematics ?
Thank you very much
YBA is an audio company founded by Yves-Bernard André.

Alan0354, if you are still checking this thread, could you post those two schematics of the YBA amplifier which you referred to?

Farley is still using his clone amp and he's very happy with it, now I set aside the other projects and do this one 😛

It would be nice if you could compare the Goldmund to my TGM8 as your description fits that too.

Contact Mr.WALTER BURKHARD. He may have some to spare
Where I can find his contact details?
I completely agree with you regarding the regulated power supply for the input stage. I haven't seen this kind of topology in other amplifiers, per se. Which amps are almost identical?
Roender's FC100.
Due to a long holiday I have ample time to continue working on the amp. I have issue of relay not engaging in the Speaker Protection circuit to find out that I'm using a light bulb thingy but then it's finally working.
Here are some Photos, Chassis and heatsinking is the next task.

I have a Leach low TIM amp.
It sound much better than any other Leach with the 40 Volts from a shunt regulator, instead of the zeners, in the original design.
