My 2N5565 was from utsource and they have been performing very well in the Telos design. If they are fake I do not know , but as long as they perform as the original, I for one don´t care.
Can somone make a copy of the original that works just as well, I will use that with great pleasure.
I agree that the USA BSS are very expensive though!

Μy supplier has forced me to take ten BSS74, and ten BSS71 total (100 $) and waiting longer than a month to came.

I do not have proven originals to compare, but the Telos works with the same specs and bias settings, no need for extra decoupling, aso aso so I conclude they are either originals or very close copies, and I am happy with them.
Maybe I was just lucky?

Hello to all, so I got the boards from Walter and started populating with available parts from my "Ole bin". Is there anyone who wants to sell 2N5565 or are willing to part with it please let me know.
Farley is still using his clone amp and he's very happy with it, now I set aside the other projects and do this one 😛

Due to a long holiday I have ample time to continue working on the amp. I have issue of relay not engaging in the Speaker Protection circuit to find out that I'm using a light bulb thingy but then it's finally working.

I have a Leach low TIM amp.
It sound much better than any other Leach with the 40 Volts from a shunt regulator, instead of the zeners, in the original design.
