DIY Sony VFETs OS2 Official thread

I always used MOX it that job in the past. I went ahead and ordered the Panasonic as I like those and there were only 100 left, so for $20 bucks I snarfed them up. Should anyone need them here, let me know and I will fix ya just pay the shipping. (1.5R 3W 3% MOX)

I think I'll install the WW and listen for a bit and then go back to the MOX and see if I can here anything. I can put them on the Pan distortion tester too and see if the wire-wound is causing any strange happenings.

Okay, I'm confused:

From Pops, for N Channel OS2

"You can use the diagrams from the original articles for the wiring connections, noting that on the earlier boards the signal inputs are labeled D+ or D- and on these boards they are called out as I+ and I-, otherwise no difference."

No there is V+,+0, +I, -0, G,G,G.

Can someone tell me what the deal is with designations I can follow please. I must be brain dead, but I'm not getting it.

V+ = Voltage + (psu)

+0 = Speaker + Output
-0 = Speaker - Output

+I = + Input (from FE)

G is ground

You are referring to this schematic, yes?

V+ & G = power supply input to OS2
0+ = Speaker positive
0- = Speaker negative
I+ = positive output of the front end to the positive input of the OS2
G = negative output of the front end to the negative input of the OS2

The P channel and N channel lottery amp output boards use D+ and D- for inputs, the OS2 boards use I+ and I- (G).

edit: I'm always late to the party these days.
